Meet Our Team

Golden Isles Palliative Care is staffed by a team of expert, caring professionals. Under the direction of Dr. Lindsey Rish (Chief Medical Officer), Maryam Pinkney, RN (Nurse Navigator), and Ashley Head, FNP-C (Nurse Practitioner) closely coordinate efforts to provide patient-centered Palliative Care.

Dr. Rish joined Golden Isles Palliative Care in 2022. She completed her medical school education in Greenville, SC and her residency in Savannah, Ga. at Memorial Health University Medical Center/ Mercer University.  Dr. Rish began her training in OBGYN; however, she found her way and a calling to Family Medicine where she completed her residency and is board certified. 

Dr. Rish completed her hospice and palliative care fellowship in Jacksonville, Fla., under the mentorship of Dr. Ana Sanchez at Community Hospice.  During her fellowship she had the ability to rotate through most of the major hospitals in the area, observing how Palliative Care was provided in all levels of care and settings.  Most of her time was spent at Orange Park Medical Center and Mayo Clinic.  Dr. Rish is currently board certified in Hospice and Palliative Care and also serves as Chief Medical Officer of Hospice of the Golden Isles. 


Ashley Head, RN, MSN
Nurse Practitioner

A practicing Registered Nurse since 2010, Ashley received her ADN from the College of Coastal Georgia, her BSN from Georgia Southwestern State University (2013) and her MSN-FNP from Walden University. In 2016, she became certified as Family Nurse Practitioner from the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She was then promoted from a Hospice RN position to Nurse Practitioner with Golden Isles Palliative Care.

As Nurse Practitioner, Ashley has the overall responsibility for the palliative care direction of patients and works in collaboration with our Nurse Navigator. After carefully listening to and assessing each patient’s clinical needs and goals, Ashley develops a comprehensive, individualized treatment plan.


Maryam Pinkney, RN
Palliative Care Nurse Navigator

As Nurse Navigator, Maryam serves as the primary Palliative Care Nurse for our patients as well as the central point of contact for questions, information and coordination of care.  In conjunction with the Nurse Practitioner, Maryam helps develop, implement, review and maintain an interdisciplinary plan of care addressing each patient’s unique needs and goals.
